Chief Executive Officer
David Prichard is a seasoned entrepreneur, influential business leader, and dedicated community advocate based in Denver. As CEO of Denver Ventures, David is deeply committed to identifying, investing in, and empowering visionary entrepreneurs to build category-defining companies in Colorado and beyond. Drawing on extensive entrepreneurial experience, David can relate to the needs of founders and business leaders, having co-founded, advised, and served on the boards of numerous successful ventures.

Amy Brandenburg is a Managing Partner of the Denver Ventures Seed Fund, an innovative early-stage venture fund that grew from the largest regional investment group into a multi-stage investment platform.
With over a decade in venture capital, technology, and alternative assets, Amy brings a unique perspective to investing. Her operational experience spans the full startup lifecycle - from being employee number one, to creating new roles at industry leaders like Zayo Group, and experiencing a successful IPO at GitLab.
As a community builder, Amy played an instrumental role in establishing the Commons on Champa in Denver. Her interest in investing began during her time at the Baylor Angel Network and at a Texas-based hedge fund.
Currently, she serves on the Laradon Foundation Board, a local nonprofit organization with a mission to empower children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live their best lives.
Amy graduated from Baylor University, where she studied Entrepreneurship and Marketing. As much as she is passionate about business, Amy loves the outdoors and is an avid golfer, fly fisher, cyclist, skier, and soccer fan.

Seed Fund
David is currently Co-Founder and Managing Partner of the Denver Ventures Seed Fund. He has decades of experience as an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and angel investor having invested in nearly 100 early stage technology companies. He has been founder and CEO of B2B SaaS and Blockchain businesses raising tens of millions in venture capital and navigating through successful exit events. He was previously Managing Director of Access Ventures, a leading Colorado early-stage venture fund for over 11 years through three funds. Along the way, he founded the Colorado Venture Summit, which he ran for its first four years. Early in his career, he served in the Executive Office of the President and as an engineer at NASA. He earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado and Masters Degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Technology Policy from M.I.T. where he was an NSF Graduate Fellow. He is a father, grandfather, solid bowler, struggling golfer, short but very capable volleyball player, aspiring guitarist, dedicated yogi and amateur photographer.

With 10 years immersed in the vibrant Colorado tech ecosystem, I have honed my skills and expertise in various roles, gaining a deep understanding of the inner workings of startups. As a foundational operator at several Colorado startups, I have experienced firsthand the challenges and triumphs of building a business from the ground up. Most recently, I had the privilege of serving as the head of platform at Access Venture Partners, where I played a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategies to drive growth and success for portfolio companies. Beyond my professional experience, I am also the founder of Paired, Colorado’s professional social club. This venture has allowed me to combine my passion for contributing to the growth of the Colorado startup ecosystem by creating a platform for entrepreneurs & tech professionals to connect, learn, and thrive together.

Ankur Kanotra leads Investor Relations and Marketing at Denver Ventures. His experience spans top-tier investment firms including Coatue Management, The Raine Group, and Blackstone, where he supported multi-billion-dollar fundraising initiatives across public and private markets. He began his career in PwC’s Forensic Services practice in Washington, D.C., and holds a BBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School with concentrations in Finance and Strategy & Management Consulting.

Head of Diligence
As Principal, Head of Diligence at Denver Ventures, Blair leads analysis for investment opportunities in early-stage technology companies across industries. Blair previously served as Principal at Frontier Venture Capital in Boulder, Colorado, where he led investments in B2B tech startups such as HData (Data Intelligence), Project Canary (Energy/Climate), Qualiti AI (DevOps), and Fathom (Generative AI/ML). Prior to Frontier, Blair served as a Venture Associate with The Fund Rockies, leading due diligence for investments in Pre-Seed companies headquartered in the Mountain West. Blair earned his MBA from the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2021 and was recognized as the MBA Finance Student of the Year.

Company Relations
Kalen is an entrepreneurial community builder and a natural connector with a passion for sustainable economic growth in her hometown of Denver. Kalen has supported entrepreneurs and economic development efforts for over a decade by directing The Commons on Champa, working with Boettcher and El Pomar Foundation, and running a startup in New Zealand for a few years. Kalen also is the founder of Kalen Jesse Photography and specializes in business and personal branding photography (KalenJesse.com).

Pipeline Management
Julian is a growth-focused operator and investor with experience across product-led growth, venture capital, and community building. He has helped scale startups, corporations, and ecosystems through roles at Neo4j, MongoDB, and other high-growth organizations. Julian moved to Denver in 2019 and is excited to invest in and support the local startup ecosystem, believing that startups are the leaders in economic and social change.
General Counsel
With over ten years of work experience in the legal field, as a founder and attorney, Jackson focuses on providing legal services to startups, investors, and entrepreneurs. He serves as advisor, fractional general counsel, and a board member to numerous startups and companies across the US in almost every industry. He's worked with multiple clients that graduated from Y Combinator, Techstars, and other accelerator programs and handled financings and funding in excess of $750m. His clients have funders and investors including Chan Zuckerburg, Tim Draper, Bill Tai, Tom Golisano, the Walton family, Harold McGraw, the Denver Broncos, and part of the St. Louis Blues and Colorado Rockies ownership group. He's worked with clients to negotiate and review contracts related to partnerships and financing from Discover, Doordash, Lending Club Bank, Dwolla, and other publicly traded and large companies. In his free time, he enjoys fly fishing, golf, roadtrips throughout the US, and live music.

Kyle is deeply committed to both people and technology, dedicating his time to community outreach initiatives and supporting non-profit organizations with their tech needs. In addition to his work in the tech space, he loves real estate investing on the residential and commercial fronts.

Martin Dubin is a clinical psychologist, serial entrepreneur, business coach, and adviser to C-suite executives and Silicon Valley entrepreneurs. He founded several companies, including a multimillion-dollar health care company where he also served as CEO. A former coach at the Center for Creative Leadership and a partner at talent firm RHR International, he worked directly with hundreds of C-suite senior executives from Fortune 500 companies and with Silicon Valley venture capital firms and their portfolio companies.
Events Manager
Sayles first joined the Colorado startup ecosystem via the Techstars Boulder Accelerator, where she focused on seamless program operations, sourcing and evaluating deal flow, and supporting portfolio companies. She worked closely with software startups tackling challenges across HealthTech, FinTech, ClimateTech, Future of Work, EdTech, and AI/ML.
She is especially passionate about ventures in the life sciences and those that create meaningful social impact. With Denver Ventures, she enjoys connecting the dynamic members of Colorado’s founder-funder-tech community.
Before moving to Colorado, Sayles was a Teach for America Corps member, teaching high school biology on O'ahu, Hawaii. She holds a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Faith, Peace, and Justice from Boston College and a Master’s in Education from Johns Hopkins University.

Kenneth Monfort is the owner and EVP of Monfort Companies, which invests in ventures and develops commercial properties in the Colorado region. He began his career working on projects in rural communities, and in 2017 started expanding the company’s portfolio to include properties near Coors Field to create a world-class stadium district. He currently serves on several local and national boards and committees, viewable via LinkedIn.

Zach May grew up in Littleton, Colorado, where he owns and operates La Vaca Trading. La Vaca Trading is a commodity brokerage that specializes in agricultural risk management for producers of livestock and grain. When Zach is not trading, he enjoys diversifying his personal portfolio by investing in business ventures, feeding cattle, and developing real estate
