We seek founders who embody seemingly contradictory traits: individuals who are simultaneously bold yet pragmatic, audacious yet humble, and laser-focused on execution yet highly adaptable. This balanced duality equips them to navigate complex challenges and seize opportunities with exceptional agility and resilience. This fusion of qualities is where the magic truly happens. That’s what Founder DNA is all about.
No stage is too early, we invest in founders with the vision, execution, and adaptability to turn bold ideas into real outcomes.
Stealth, inception, pre-product, active pilots are all in our court.
Across the U.S. with a strong emphasis on Colorado and second-tier tech cities.
$250k-$800k initial checks.
Investing in scale-ups with strong fundamentals and momentum, connecting them to an elite network of business leaders and investors built to accelerate growth.
Companies showing demonstrable traction, raising their Series A & beyond.
Across the U.S. with a strong emphasis on Colorado.
$1M-$5M initial checks.
Our network doesn’t merely connect—it amplifies. Feed it mediocrity, and mediocrity expands; feed it brilliance, and brilliance multiplies. The more rigorously we elevate the quality of the founders we invest in and the strength of our network, the greater our ability to amplify excellence.

With over a decade immersed in the tech ecosystem, I have honed my skills and expertise in various roles, gaining a deep understanding of the inner workings of startups. As a foundational operator at several startups, I have experienced firsthand the challenges and triumphs of building a business from the ground up. Before joining DV, I served as head of platform at Access Venture Partners where I played a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategies to drive growth and success for portfolio companies. I also founded Paired, Colorado’s professional social club. This venture allowed me to combine my passion for contributing to the growth of the Colorado startup ecosystem by creating a platform for entrepreneurs & tech professionals to connect, learn, and thrive together. I endeavor to learn everyday and make the most of time. And to travel as much as posisble.

Amy Brandenburg is a Managing Partner of the Denver Ventures Seed Fund, an early-stage venture fund that grew from the largest regional investment group into a multi-stage investment platform. She leads the fund's operations and investor relations, serving as a trusted partner to both the fund's limited partners and the founders it backs.
Amy brings more than a decade of experience across venture capital, technology, and alternative assets. She has held operating roles across the full company lifecycle, from joining an early-stage startup as its first employee to building new functions at Zayo Group and scaling with GitLab through its IPO. That experience shapes how she works on both sides of the table: she understands what founders need beyond a check, and what investors need to feel confident in the capital they've deployed.
Her investing career began with the Baylor Angel Network and a Texas-based hedge fund, and she has been an active investor since 2020. A committed community builder, Amy played an instrumental role in establishing the Commons on Champa, a center for entrepreneurship in Denver.
Amy serves on the board of Valkyrie Gives, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending child trafficking worldwide. She holds a degree in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from Baylor University. Outside of work, Amy can be found on the golf course, the ski slopes, or a trout stream, often while traveling with her husband, Reed.
